Along one edge I can make out the name "Gainsborough", possibly with a single initial in front of it. I do not know much about miniature paintings and am happy to answer any questions. What I can tell you about this piece is that I can see brush strokes, and looking at it with my loupe it is does not pixelate or look like a modern print in any way. I do believe it's antique, and the
