Decalactone Gamma - Givaudan ACS In the springClassic peachy smelling lactone. Useful in trace amounts to add a juicy peach note. Smells waxy at higher concentrations, similar to the famous peach aldehyde C14. Indispensable in creating realistic fruit accords, especially peaches, nectarines and apricots, but also widely used in modern perfume composition for abstract and subtle fruity nuances which may not be overtly listed as a peachy note in the fragrance marketing copy.
